Books to Read After “Behind Her Eyes”
If you’ve read Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough, then you already know: that ending will live in your head rent-free for the rest of your natural life.
When I finished it, I sat there in pure silence trying to process what had just happened. Days later I was still replaying scenes in my mind and seeing the entire book in a whole new light. Weeks later? STILL thinking about it.
I love a good plot twist - especially the kind you don’t see coming even when you think you’re paying attention. It’s usually the thing that pushes a book into 5-star territory for me. And since I don’t get a ton of time to read these days, a book that keeps me up way past my bedtime is basically magic. This one did exactly that. Zero regrets. The next-day exhaustion was worth it.
So if you’re out here craving that same “jaw on the floor, stare at the wall for a minute, re-evaluate your life choices” feeling… here are four thrillers that deliver.
The Wife Between Us – Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen
This book had my jaw on the actual floor. Every time I thought I’d figured out what was happening, I was wrong. Deliciously wrong. If you like psychological manipulation and “wait… WHAT?” moments, this one is for you.
The Girl Before – JP Delaney
Creepy house energy. Complicated women. An unsettling storyline you can’t look away from. If you liked the emotional messiness of Behind Her Eyes, this will scratch the same itch.
The Kind Worth Killing – Peter Swanson
This one is a wild ride. Sharp, cold, clever, and full of characters you absolutely should not trust. The twists hit hard and keep coming.
The Silent Patient – Alex Michaelides
If you want a psychological thriller that builds slowly and then absolutely slaps you across the face at the end… this is the one. I still think about that twist.
I need a good plot twist book to add to my TBR - what’s the one that wrecked you in the best possible way?
Drop it below so I can add it to my late-night reading list.
